Photography inspired by the land and garden.
"This is the first, the wildest and the wisest thing I know: that the soul exists
and is built entirely out of attentiveness."
- Mary Oliver
My name is Paula O'Hara and I'm an Irish floral and garden photographer living in County Armagh's misty lowlands between the River Bann and Lough Neagh. I document what I observe in the garden and the surrounding landscape throughout the seasons. From time to time I photograph the gardens of others across Ireland too. I find beauty in the ever-changing light and colour, the interplay of flowers, grasses and foliage as they naturally grow together and their development from a tiny seed to a fading beauty. I also style seasonal still life with flowers cut from the garden and create fine art prints. The photography and floral styling here is about observing those fleeting, ephemeral floral moments as a gardener and honouring them through my imagery.

"The garden is a love song, a duet between a human being and Mother Nature."
- Jeff Cox
